Winifred McGee
Winifred enlisted with the Women’s Auxiliary Air Force on February 9, 1942, at 18 years of age, and served until July 24, 1945. She was posted to the Windermere Lake District and Manchester, England.
Winifred was awarded the W.A.A.F. V.G, which was the highest character award given to an airwoman for her conduct during service.
Winifred married Canadian soldier, William McGee in Manchester, England on February 9, 1944, and followed to Canada after the war ended, July 1946.
