The Uxbridge Honour our Veterans Banner program promotes community remembrance.  It is a program that has made this community pause, reflect and remember.  From the oldest of our citizens to the youngest…...the banner program has been a catalyst for discussion on remembrance and helps keep history alive.

In the poem, In Flanders Fields, Lt. Col. .John McCrae challenges us to carry on the torch of remembrance “to you from failing hands we throw the torch….be yours to hold it high”.  Through the Honour our Veterans Banner Program and its related initiatives, we hope to bring remembrance to the forefront for all…..in particular for our young people, who will be the ones to carry on the torch of remembrance.
