William T. Couch

William served with the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War. He enlisted on March 6, 1944 in Toronto at the age of 17. After completing basic training on the HMCS Cornwallis, William served on the HMCS Scotian, Micmac and Stadacona. His trade was a stoker, someone who specialized in engine room duties. At the completion of his service, William was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and the War Medal 1939-1945.
