Robert Roy Hodgson OMM, CDI

Bob joined the Canadian Armed Forces in May 1970 as an infantryman with the Royal Canadian Regiment. Throughout his 29 years of service he served with 3 RCR in Petawawa and Winnipeg, 2nd and 3rd Commando of the Canadian Airborne Regiment in Edmonton, Infantry School in Gagetown, Combat Training Centre in Edmonton and Trenton, and 1 RCR in Petawawa.

Bob was deployed to Cyprus for 2 tours and deployed to Bosnia for 1 tour. He was the RSM of 1 RCR in Petawawa until his death on November 8, 1999 at the age of 50. One week before his passing he was presented with the Order of Military Merit by the Governor General of Canada, Adrienne Clarkson at his home.

He will be remembered.
