Lorne F. Andrews - U43146
Lorne Andrews was 28 when he joined the Royal Canadian Navy Volunteer Reserve on July 25th, 1942. in Hamilton, Ontario. He received basic naval training aboard HMCS Cornwallis, and then completed further training as an electrical artificer, becoming competent in the electrical maintenance of ship's machinery. Throughout his career, he served aboard the HMCS Star, HMCS Cornwallis, HMCS Stadacona, HMCS Peregrine, and the HMCS Scotian. Lorne attained the rank of Chief Petty Officer during his wartime service.
Lorne received the Voluntary Service Medal and the 1939-1945 Medal.
