Jeanie M. (Frew) Turner

Jeanie Turner was one of the almost 5,000 women who served in the Women’s Timber Corps during the Second World War.

The work of the WTC included all the jobs involved with forestry including felling trees, snedding, loading, cross cutting, driving tractors, trucks, working with horses and operating sawmills.
