Hezekiah Roach

Hezekiah Roach was born in Uxbridge, ON, December 19th, 1894. He was a farmer living in Goodwood when he enlisted with the on May 8, 1918 at the Oshawa Detachment of the 2nd Depot Battalion. He sailed overseas on the HMS Nankin, arriving in Liverpool Englan on August 15, 1918. Upon arriving he was ‘taken on strength’ to the 8th Reserve Battalion in Whitley, England; transferring to the Canadian Command Depot in March of 2019 until the end of the war. He returned to Canada, and was discharged on September 20, 1919.
