Dr. William B. McClintock

William was born in Uxbridge, ON on November 9, 1921, and attended Uxbridge Public School and Uxbridge Secondary School.

Bill served with the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps during the Second World War, after his enlistment on 29 September 1943 at 22 yeas of age. He was attending the University of Toronto at the time, and he and other medical students enlisted and were required to stay in Canada to care for returning troops. He was stationed in Borden, Niagara-on-the-lake and Toronto, ON; Montreal, PQ; and Saint John’s NB. William graduated from medical school in 1945, and practiced at Uxbridge Cottage Hospital and York County Hospital until 1990.
