Don M. Barnard

Don served with the Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada during the Second World War. He landed in the first wave of assault at Bernières-sur-mer, Juno Beach, on D-Day, June 6, 1944, with his brother Fred. Don was one of the 340 allied soldiers killed on the beach that day.
