Asa Patterson

Asa John Patterson was a 135th Battalion boy. A farmer from Longwood ON, he had been a member of the 26th Middlesex Light Infantry. He attested in the 135th on the 26 November 1915. At Bramshott England he transferred to the 15th Btn. He was killed in action south-west of Vimy on the 9th of April 1917 as a 48th Highlander. He was honoured to have his name engraved on the Highlander Vimy Cross. He is buried at Nine Elms British Cemetery, Thelus France. He is also honoured on the Mount Brydges Cenotaph and on the Caradoc Community Hall Memorial Wall. We Will Remember Them
