Alfred James Grant

Alfred James Grant enlisted for service in the Second World War on October 24th, 1939 at 18 years of age. He completed basic training in Kingston, Ontario and in Petawawa, Ontario. Little is know about his service history…..but family recalls that Alfred always fondly spoke of the comradery of the soldiers during his time of service. Alfred was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and clasp, the France and Germany Star, the 1939-1945 Star, the Defence Medal, the Canadian Efficiency Medal, the Italy Star, and the War Service Badge - General Service Class.
