Alfred Charles Cornell - R105098
Alfred enlisted in Toronto, Ontario with the Royal Canadian Air Force on May 16th, 1941. He received his basic and flight training in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, and in Victoriaville, Quebec; receiving his wings on January 16, 1942. Only 10 days later Leading Aircraftman Cornell was killed in a plane crash in Kingston, Ontario while flying a Harvard trainer on a routine flight. He is buried at at St. John’s Norway Cemetery in Toronto, Ontario.
